Hard coatings for transparent plastic substrates
Applications requiring use of transparent plastics like automotive headlamp lens and ophthalmic lenses, safety eyewear etc. require had coatings to prevent damage by scratches. Besides scratch resistance, the coating should have very good abrasion resistance, non-yellowing & good weathering resistance. They should also have very good clarity to allow transmission of light.
